I am going to tell you a secret tonight, dear art lovers, one that I have only told one other person, because she guessed, and she found it really relevant to her life, so maybe you will too. I most certainly do because I paint this character over and over again. This little girl giving you a look of wonder and a curtsy, is Flame Haired Girl as a child, before she goes through a transformation. If you think about it you will recognize her by her rolled up pinned down hair, strictly kept under control, chastised even.  She appears again in a painting I call Light my way, and you can witness the beginning of her transformation in a painting called Breathing life like fire, see them both here: http://www.melaniesinclair.com.

Each of the titles for those paintings came from Soundgarden lyrics, I love SG and Tool about the same, painting is pointless without good music.

A dear friend of mine named (Bernie) Wynne Shepherd noticed FHG in her fledgling stages and asked me about her. Wynne, I hope you are running with the wolves now, my dear, you are missed.
